Herpes is a common viral infection that is caused by Simplex Virus. It is a sexually transmitted disease that spreads from one person to another person by skin-to-skin contact. It usually appears as blisters around the lips of the face and also in the genital regions. The History of herpes dates back to many centuries ago. Some even say that the virus evolved along with man. But the first documented history has been found during the Greek civilization. There is no evidence to suggest as to how long both the orders lasted, but it seems that both were for a short time only.
